About Us

PIDRO is a women-led, non-partisan, non-profit organization established in Sudan to promote local solutions for social and economic development, with a strong focus on Peace, Development, and Community coexistence. Since its formal registration in 2025, PIDRO has operated in five states, delivering humanitarian and development support—especially to vulnerable groups, Host Communities, returnees, and refugees. Its team of 86 young professionals provides services in essential areas such as Health and nutrition, WASH, NFIs, FSL, GBV, Protection, Peace Building and Governance, under the leadership of an Executive Director and a female-led board. PIDRO collaborates with government ministries and participates in six humanitarian clusters, partnering with national and international bodies to improve service delivery and resource efficiency.

Organizational Identity

People Initiative for Development and Relief Organization (PIDRO) is a women-led, multi-sector humanitarian organization committed to delivering integrated, community-driven, and contextually responsive programming. PIDRO collaborates closely with local communities, civil society actors, and international partners to contribute to effective, accountable, and locally grounded humanitarian action.

Legal Status

PIDRO is a Sudanese national organization legally registered with the Federal Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC). This federal registration grants PIDRO the legal authority to operate across all states in Sudan, providing multi-sector humanitarian and early recovery interventions. Currently, PIDRO operates in Khartoum with full capacity to expand programs to other regions as needed.

This registration ensures legal flexibility, operational credibility, and readiness for strategic expansion, which strengthens PIDRO’s positioning for national and international partnerships and donor funding.
